Fantastic Plastic |

Gear -... Even considering their advantages, for me plastic is
for indoor use only.
But for every rule there is an exception, and in the case of plastic it's the Packet Pal. The Pal encases your seed packet in clear plastic in the same manner as those stand-up snapshot frames. It protects the packet from the elements, preserving pertinent information from planting to harvest, and it's plastic stake holds it erect at soil level. |
| Canadian Gardening - 1. PACKET PAL - Of already written-about items, I single out the robust, clear plastic seed packet holder as product of the year. Because it holds the actual seed packet, all the pertinent information about what you've planted is there... |
| Gardening Know How - There is a product I saw recently that is, in my opinion, long overdue. It's called the Packet Pal Garden row Marker. I have struggled with good ways to mark my vegetable rows and don't really like any of them. I've gone through wooden and plastic labels, metal markers that you scratch on, and even just jammed the seed packet on a stick. this product is much better. it is a plastic "frame" on a stake that pops open so you can slide the seed packet inside and snap it shut away from the elements. The markers withstand cold, rain and heat, and have a UV protected face. After the season you simply clean them and store them away until next season. |
